Couple of days ago, I saw a rather interesting article on the FT. The US treasury does basically have now a plan to start releasing weekly volume data on fixed income securities. When implemented this will have a major impact on one of the most liquid markets in the world. Logically, other markets can follow which could eventually lead to a further development of the exchanges as a trading venue for fixed income securities. This can help their stagnating revenues. What are your thoughts would we see a more transparent fixed income market?
